The Cosmetic Industry Summit: Breaking Barriers in Africa is being launched for the first time in South Africa. The summit is organised by the Cosmetic Toiletry & Fragrance Association of South Africa (CTFA) on behalf of the South African cosmetics industry.
Borne out of concern for the various technical barriers to trade on the African continent, the summit involves a partnership with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and has received support from the Department of Trade and Industry (dti).
Encourage trade and global best practice
The Breaking Barriers in Africa: Cosmetic Industry Summit 2019 will take place at the IDC Conference Centre in Sandton, Johannesburg on 16 and 17 October. It will bring together leaders from business, government and other interested parties to deliberate ways to stimulate ‘harmonisation’ across the continent to ease trade.
Local and international presenters have been invited to speak on the regulatory framework of various African countries as well as trade relations and global best practice in the cosmetics and personal care industry.
The summit is expected to be attended by South African delegates and those from countries across Africa. The line-up includes international speakers with a focus on the African continent. Visit the CTFA’s website for more information on the event.
