About the Company

A leading supplier of innovative wax solutions. They develop, produce and supply wax based cosmetic raw materials which are used in a variety of personal care products, including lipsticks, lip balms, creams, lotions and body lotions. Our customers include the world’s leading brands like Unilever, L’Oréal, and Johnson & Johnson etc.

The company seeks to employ a Sales Executive within the Commercial Department, who will be responsible for managing a portfolio of speciality and commodity raw materials strategically within South Africa and other regions from purchase to selling.

Major Duties/ Key Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of specialty and commodity raw materials strategically within South Africa and other regions from purchase to selling

Managing a portfolio of Key Account Customers.

Price Negotiations at senior levels

Promotion of Company products and image.

Conduct presentations at customers in partnership with Technical on new product launches.

Growing customer base year on year in terms of volume, revenue and margins.

Attending conferences and trade shows as required

Responsible for forecasting on a monthly basis.

Collating and submitting market intelligence

Build strong relationship with new and existing customers

Identify new products to enhance product portfolio

Drive sales of new products

Support new potential customers at marketing events and follow up on leads

General administration of call reports, updating of CRM database etc.

Reporting

The incumbent for this position will directly report to the Commercial Manager

Qualifications Skills and Experience:

Matric

BSC or National Diploma in Science

Minimum five years sales experience selling raw materials/ingredients within the Personal care and Industrial markets

Must have Own vehicle and Drivers License

Must have sound understanding of pricing structures.

Must have Key account and Business Development skills

Must previously have sold ingredients and raw materials into Personal or Industrial markets

Must currently/previously be in sales position within the Personal Care/Homecare/Pharmaceutical Industry.

Industry or market knowledge within the Personal Care and Industrial segment.

Formulation experience within the Personal Care and Industrial segment will be an added advantage
