Cheryl, owner of Cherish Beauty, says: ‘Every product I craft goes on my own skin and on those I love, so I only use the very best ingredients, because we all deserve to be cherished.’

Why is oil cleansing better for your skin?

Your skin naturally produces oil. It is there to help lubricate, heal, protect and moisturise skin so that it can function optimally. Many commercial skin cleansers are made with Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulphate, commonly known as SLES. This ingredient actually strips skin of its natural oils and causes the body to over-compensate by producing excess sebum to replace lost oils.

The theory behind oil cleansing is that oil dissolves oil. By using the correct combination of natural oils, you can cleanse your pores of dirt and bacteria naturally, gently and effectively. Oil cleansing replaces the dirty oil with beneficial ingredients that heal, protect and nourish your skin.
