Dabur continues its acquisition trail

The reception area of Dabur South Africa with the company’s logoFMCG company Dabur India announced in April, it had completed the acquisition of two South African companies, D&A Cosmetics and Atlanta Body & Health Products, through its subsidiary.

The company announced last year that it had plans to acquire the two personal care brand owners for a total cash consideration of R50 million.

In a stock exchange filing, Dabur India said its wholly owned subsidiary, Dermoviva Skin Essentials has acquired 100 percent share capital of the two companies. Accordingly, both companies have become step down wholly owned subsidiary companies of Dabur India.

This is not Dabur’s first acquisition in South Africa. In 2016, it acquired Discaria Trading and in April 2017, it took over business interests of personal, hair care and creams manufacturer, the CTL Group of Companies.
