Pharma Manufacturers’ Expo brings new tech to West Africa

Feedback from the fifth Nigerian Pharma Manufacturers’ Expo 2019 was unanimously positive.

The expo 2019 was held during August 28 -29, 2019 at The Haven, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos Nigeria. NPME 2019, an international exhibition on complete pharma manufacturing offers exclusive business networking platform for those are already doing business as well for those are planning to explore the trade potential of the west African pharma markets.

Dr. Adeleke Mamora, Honb’le Ministry of State for Health was the chief guest of the opening ceremony along with Dr (Prof) Mojisala Christianah Adeyeye – director of General, NAFDAC; Dr Jumoke Oduwole – SSA to President on Industry, Trade, and Investment and PEBEC Secretary; Babjide Sanwolu – The Executive Governor of Lagos State; Prof Yemi Osinbajo – vice president, Federal Republic of Nigeria were the special guests.

Nigeria Pharma Manufacturers’ Expo 2019 was jointly organised by PMG-MAN (Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of Manufacturers’ Association of Nigeria) and GPE Expo.

Three special pavilions

The major attractions for the trade visitors were three special pavilions – PMG-MAN Members Companies Pavilion, India Pavilion with 40 exhibiting companies by The EEPC India (formally known as Engineering Export Promotion Council, set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India) and China Pavilion with 20 exhibiting companies by CCCMHPIE (China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products).

More than 145 international exhibitors participated from India, China, Nigeria, Denmark, Germany, South Africa and UK displayed their latest pharma processing machineries and materials, Cleanroom Eqpts, Water Treatment Plants, Turnkey Project Consultants, API and Bulk Drugs, Analytical Lab Instruments, Pharma Formulations. The Exhibition, Nigeria Pharma Manufacturers’ Expo 2019 was the right business resource platform for plant operations, purchase / vendor development professionals from local pharma formulation manufacturers as well importers / traders of the finished pharma products and contract manufacturers.

Positive feedback

The focus industries of the Exhibition were Pharmaceuticals, Neutraceuticals, Cosmetics, Beverage and Distillery industries.

All the previous editions of the Nigeria Pharma Manufacturers’ Expo held in year 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017 had remained highly useful and for the local pharma manufacturers and importers of the west African region.

An overwhelming exhibition participation response by the local Business Associates as well technology solutions providers from outside Nigeria was noticed. The next edition of Nigeria Pharma Manufacturers Expo will be held in 2021 at Lagos, Nigeria.
