The new edition of Pharmintech, scheduled for 27 to 30 May 2025 at Fiera Milano, Italy is approaching. The presence of market-leading exhibitors and an events programme managed and sponsored by AFI – Associazione Farmaceutici Industria reinforces Pharmintech’s position as a benchmark event for the industry.

The show programme has become a central focus for the pharma industry, bolstered by the partnerships that Pharmintech has forged with the most representative industry associations. In addition to AFI, these include ADF, ASCCA, Aschimfarma, Assobiotec, Egualia, Farmindustria, Ispe, PDA and Ucima.

Themes to be showcased at Pharmintech

  1. Biotech and innovative pharmaceuticals: The new medicines frontier presents production challenges at all levels, from high costs to quality control, to stricter biosecurity regulations, from continuous R&D investments to logistics.
  2. New technologies: The role of Artificial Intelligence and digitalisation in optimising and increasing the efficiency of industrial processes.
  3. Green packaging and sustainability: Focus on secondary packaging, recycling and life-cycle analyses of materials like paper and plastic.

Alberto Bartolini, CEO of CIT Pharma and Chairman of the Steering Committee of Pharmintech 2025, says: “Supplementing available biological pharmaceuticals with those based on synthetic molecules, applying artificial intelligence to new treatments focused on precision medicine, and paying attention to the sustainability of the pharma system, particularly by embracing the Green Deal, are topics with a great impact on both the consumer market and the market for technologies featured at the event. That is why our events and conferences aim to capture and define market trajectories, as well as in terms of the sustainability of pharmaceutical packaging. Pharmintech is also the ideal platform for envisioning the future of the industry.”

Antonio Bruzzone, CEO of BolognaFiere, adds: “Pharmintech is an essential appointment for the pharmaceuticals and life sciences industry. It also confirms BolognaFiere’s central role in B2B events dedicated to innovation and technological development. Through an exhibition ecosystem involving key industry players and a high-profile conference programme, Pharmintech provides a strategic platform for companies seeking to address tomorrow’s challenges: from biotech development to the new frontiers of digitalisation and manufacturing sustainability. With support from the most representative associations and a strong focus on internationalisation, this edition offers a unique opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange among all industry stakeholders.”

“Pharmintech is a multifaceted event,” says Ipack Ima’s Chairman, Valerio Soli. “Quality is assured by multiple factors: from the extraordinary level of the proposed technologies to the high specialisation of visitors and a conference programme where industrial innovation and advanced expertise converge to envision the future of the represented industries. Professionals, buyers, associations and academic researchers from leading universities will find our exhibitions to be the ideal setting for growth and interaction with the industry’s foremost experts.”
