in-cosmetics Global announces awards shortlist

Ahead of the event in Paris this month, the shortlist for the 2024 in-cosmetics Global Awards, sponsored by Kenvue, has been revealed.

Over 50 shortlisted entries have been selected by an international judging panel made up of 28 experts from the likes of Kenvue, Ecovia Intelligence, Unilever, Coty, Haleon and more. Winners will be announced at the official in-cosmetics Global Awards ceremony, as the show returns to the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Paris, from 16 to 18 April.

The judges faced a challenging task of narrowing down the entries as the calibre of admissions this year reached new heights. Finalists will go forward to win this year’s Innovation Zone Best Active Ingredient Award, the Innovation Zone Best Functional Ingredient Award, the Green Ingredient Award, the Rising Star awards, as well as the Sensory Bar and Make Up Bar Awards.

All attendees of the event are invited to the in-cosmetics Global Awards and After Party ceremony, sponsored by Kenvue, from 18:00 on 16 April, to acknowledge and celebrate cosmetic science with an evening of live music and refreshments.

A closer look at the categories

Exclusive to this year’s show, the organisers have introduced the Kenvue Trusted Science Award, which celebrates innovative and effective modern ingredients which consumers can count on. The all-new Sustainable Stand Award for in-cosmetics Global 2024 identifies exhibitors who have actively implemented eco-conscious measures when designing and building their stands, demonstrating their commitment to reducing environmental impact.

The Innovation Zone Best Active Ingredient and Innovation Zone Best Functional Ingredient Awards, both of which acknowledge ingredients that best combine science and product features.

Recognising sustainability pioneers, the Green Ingredient Award – in partnership with Ecovia Intelligence – honours ingredients that play a vital role in the industry’s pursuit of sustainability. Additionally, the Make-Up Bar Award and Sensory Bar Award will return to the event. The former spotlights ingenious pigments and technologies, paving the way for captivating and trendsetting colour cosmetics, while the latter celebrates evocative fragrances and heavenly tastes that inspire, elevate, and transform cosmetic creations to enhance consumer experiences.

The Rising Star Award category recognises first- or second-year exhibitors, commending their diverse range of offerings, innovation, and commodity, as well as how solutions-orientated their product range is.
