The South African cosmetics industry offers a wide range of job opportunities covering various disciplines. As the industry becomes more focused and technologically advanced, and the demand grows for products that provide real benefits, the need increases for scientists to work in the industry, in mainstream and specialised areas.

If you’re interested in a career in the cosmetics industry, the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (Coschem) is hosting two virtual information sessions on Wednesday, 9 June 2021. The first session takes place at 09h00 and the second is at 18h00.

Careers and training showcase

Students, emerging entrepreneurs and professionals already working in the personal care and cosmetics industry are encouraged to connect with Coschem for these online sessions.

Representatives from the society will share an overview of the South African personal care industry. Associated career opportunities and the training on offer within the industry will also be discussed.

The core focus of the society is the dissemination of scientific information and the administration of an exciting cosmetic science course, which focuses on the science, application and practical aspects of personal care product development.

If you would like to attend either of the online presentation sessions, please send an email to Bridget MacDonald indicating your preferred timeslot. You can also use Coschem’s online booking form to secure your spot.
