Croda Beauty Actives renews UEBT membership 

Croda Beauty Actives announces the renewal of the Croda – Le Perray site membership to UEBT, an international non-profit organisation that promotes sourcing with respect for people and biodiversity.

Croda Beauty Actives has demonstrated a concrete commitment to implementing ethical sourcing principles. The company trained an internal team in 2021 on the use of the Union for Ethical BioTrade UEBT’s ‘Full Field Checklist’, enhancing its capabilities in assessing supply chains. Since then, some supply chains, including four o’clock, beech, and birch sap, have been assessed by UEBT and an improvement plan is in place, with more planned in the upcoming months. 

Ultimately, the renewal highlights significant progress made by the company since its initial membership review in 2020. 

Strong commitments and concrete actions 

Croda Beauty Actives has:

• Established an ethical sourcing system, including internal assessments of suppliers and supply chains 
• Developed a prioritisation tools while monitoring supply chain action plans 
• Conducted internal training on UEBT standards while providing support for producers.

 Focus on ABS: 

• Integration of ABS principles into internal processes 
• Awareness-raising and training for staff at all levels of the company 
• Internal assessment of all our new developments and new sourcing regarding ABS obligations.
