Dis-Chem Pharmacies started rolling out its dedicated vaccination sites on Tuesday 25 May 2021.

In addition to the Midrand Head Office which has been piloting the vaccine roll-out for Dis-Chem healthcare workers and over 60s from 17 May, the group opened five sites in Gauteng on 25 May and will follow this by opening five additional sites on Tuesday 1 June in coastal locations. Thereafter, additional sites will open in a staggered manner.

Vaccination site locations

The five sites are in Centurion, Mall of the South, Jabulani, East Rand Mall and Fourways Mall. The vaccination sites are not situated in Dis-Chem Pharmacies, but are located in the malls with clear posters and signage.

Subject to vaccine supply

All vaccine sites are subject to the supply of vaccines, which is controlled solely by the National Department of Health. The trial week at Head Office, where over 3 500 vaccinations were done, provided the group with valuable learnings which will ensure full readiness across other sites to offer a complete and well-organised vaccine experience.

Only those who have registered on the government’s Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS) and have received a voucher code with details of scheduled booking slot from EVDS detailing date and time slot for a vaccination booking , will be vaccinated.  Everyone is required to bring proof of identification and medical scheme membership (if applicable) with them to the vaccination site.
