New sustainable beauty ingredients by Lubrizol

The speciality chemical company is rolling out innovative beauty ingredients with strong sustainability credentials, for skincare, sun care and hair care applications.

Lubrizol is launching its latest naturally derived skin, sun and hair care innovations at in-cosmetics Global, taking place in Amsterdam from 8 to 10 April. The new ingredients deliver on the supplier’s commitment to creating sustainable solutions. These solutions make a positive impact and solve challenges while guaranteeing exceptional performance.

Lubrizol’s sustainability strategy includes goals to reduce its corporate footprint. It also provides sustainable solutions that support customers in reducing their environmental impact. Lubrizol Beauty’s approach is built on four key pillars:

1. Naturality or biodegradability
2. GHG reduction
3. An eco-designed manufacturing process
4. A sustainable supply chain.

To be launched at the trade show

Attendees to in-cosmetics Global are invited to visit the Lubrizol stand (1A90). They will experience the unveiling of four new sustainable solutions for 2025. These include:

1. Readily biodegradable rheology modifier and sensory enhancer for skin and sun care applications
2. Readily biodegradable polymeric emulsifier for skin care, sun care, makeup and cleansing applications, with low use levels that enable rich lotions and creams with a soft, light sensory effect
3. Ultimately biodegradable conditioning polymer with an excellent sensory effect and deposition for rinse-off applications, as well as film forming and hold properties for leave-on applications
4. A biotech ingredient to reinforce the natural antioxidant shield, achieving a translucent and even skin tone.
