The Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) has issued a Call for Papers for the 32nd IFSCC Congress, which will be held in London from 19-22 September 2022.
Scientists from all over the world with an interest in cosmetics are invited to put forward Abstracts for the opportunity to present their work from the podium or as a scientific poster at this major international event. A list of prestigious keynote speakers has been published on the website, outlining a dynamic programme that will cover every aspect of research impacting the cosmetic industry.

Scope for cutting edge research
Session themes for the three days are: Beauty for a New Age, Science of our Time and Innovation for Tomorrow’s World. Topics will range from advances in skin and hair research, innovative material science, the omics and investigating the microbiome to exploring senses and emotions. There is scope for cutting edge research of every type in the 32nd IFSCC Congress programme.
Abstracts put forward for consideration will be reviewed and selected by the Scientific Committee. Chair of the Scientific Committee, Dr Majella Lane (Director, Skin Research Group, UCL School of Pharmacy, London) says: “We are excited to announce the opening of the Abstract portal on ifscc2022.com. This moment marks a significant step in the planning of this Congress – the first IFSCC Congress to be held back in the UK for 20 years. We will be looking for research that progresses cosmetic science and has not been previously presented or published to the industry. The outstanding standard of the science that will be presented at the event makes the 32nd IFSCC Congress London a ‘must attend’ occasion for everyone involved in cosmetic research. There is nowhere like London to give people a unique stage to demonstrate their creativity and innovation and to really shine.”
Scientific Committee review
The Abstract portal will remain open for submissions until 31 January 2022. Applicants will be notified by email of the conclusion of the Scientific Committee review. Submissions will only be accepted via the portal on the event website.
