Our latest P&C Review/Symrise 2020/21 New Product Competition entry is Skin Creamery’s Wildflower Water-Cream. This South African slow beauty brand exists to simplify skin care.
The Wildflower Water-Cream is a lightweight emulsion that will leave skin feeling soothed and refreshed. This multipurpose beauty elixir deeply hydrates the skin, while botanical extracts work to smooth and refine the skin’s surface, creating a primed finish with a youthful glow.
Skin Creamery was the second runner up in the 2018 P&C Review/Symrise New Product Competition.

Grown locally and known for its analgesic properties, the Acmella flower (Spilanthes acmella) has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. In recent times, it has been scientifically proven to smooth fine lines and improve skin texture. Sourced from the upper section of the plant, the Wildflower Water-Cream is formulated with a concentrated oily extract of the Acmella flower.
The extract is said to have an innate ability to act directly on protein-producing fibroblasts (collagen and elastin fibres). When applied on the skin, it stimulates the biochemical function of the fibroblasts which immediately tightens and firms skin, whilst smoothing and relaxing facial tension.
Aloe leaf is widely used for its soothing and hydrating properties and it grows abundantly in South Africa. Levulinic acid is a natural plant-based acid, usually from corn, which helps to balance formulations and fight infection. Sodium levulinate is the salt of levulinic acid which is used as a preservative in the Wildflower Water-Cream.
Squalene is also included in the formulation. This powerful anti-oxidant and natural essential lipid protects skin’s natural barrier and locks in moisture without clogging pores. When used over a period of time, it is incredible in its ability to prevent the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Squalene treats dry areas and patches of the skin, aids in the treatment of scars and is known to assist in subtly reversing UV damage and pigmentation.

Skin Creamery’s Wildflower Water-Cream naturally produces a rapid firming action by stimulating collagen and elastin fibres in the supporting connective tissue. It visibly reduces and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, especially in areas of concern.
It also transforms tired taut skin and facial tension by notably enhancing skin density and suppleness. Leaving skin feeling cared for, revitalised and rejuvenated, the Wildflower Water-Cream is a light moisturiser with a consistency that is between an oil and a cream.
